MATY YOUNG
FOUNDER
Director | Cinematographer | Writer | Actor
Maty Young, the founder of Young One Studio, is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. His creative journey began at the age of 12 in Perth, Western Australia, where he started as an actor and musician. In his late 20s, he launched his studio in Melbourne in 2014 and relocated to Los Angeles in 2018, shifting his focus to film and digital media. His work has been featured on platforms like HBO MAX, Apple TV, and at the Cannes Film Festival. Maty has built an impressive portfolio, including over 100 demo reel scenes written, directed, and filmed, three feature films as a cinematographer, including his second feature helmed as DP, now streaming on Apple TV, and more than 45 short films where he served as cinematographer, director, or both. Young One Studio, is also a proud sponsor of the Collaboration Filmmakers Challenge Los Angeles, a competition that has helped launch Oscar-nominated short films.

HEDYEH FALSAFI

Hedyeh was born and raised in Iran until she moved to California at 16. She transitioned from studying Architecture to earning a B.A. in Drama from San Francisco State University, which marked the beginning of her career in film and theatre. Her international background and diverse heritage deeply influence her work, combining cultural richness and authenticity. As both an actress and director, she has a keen eye for talent, and her directorial style, known for its emotional depth and attention to detail.

ZACHARY DRIPPS

Zachary Dripps is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker with experience working for major industry players like Disney, Netflix, and Riot Games. Originally from Boulder, CO, he earned a BFA in film production from the University of Colorado, where he studied under director Alex Cox. He later completed his MFA in cinematography at Boston University, learning from Steadicam operator Joel San Juan. After moving to LA, Zachary worked as an executive assistant to writer-director Jerry Zucker before pursuing freelance film production.

ROBERT RYDE

Robbie Ryde's journey in film, television, and arts education is inspiring. A former semi-professional Australian Rules Footballer and skilled carpenter from Melbourne, Robbie found his true passion in acting. Today, he co-owns Ryde Entertainment and the American Arts Film & Television Academy (AAFTA) with Jessica Orcsik, where he mentors emerging talent. Under his guidance, students have landed roles in major films like God Is A Bullet, sharing screens with stars like Jamie Foxx. Robbie’s dedication to storytelling and mentoring continues to shape the next generation of actors.

JESSICA ORCSIK

Jessica Orcsik's career began at age 4 on TV show Richmond Hill. Since then, she has worked as an actress, performer, and producer on various TV, film, and stage productions. She has hosted events across the USA and Australia, launched the podcast ArtArtistBiz, and founded J.O. International Productions. Jessica's projects promote inclusion and diversity, including events like On Broadway and the Don’t Dis Disabilities Dance Extravaganza. As CEO of Diversity Entertainment, she champions innovative and diverse storytelling in film, television, and media. Jessica’s award-winning film credits include A Death Perspective, Unsound, and Enigma. Several feature films and series are in development for 2025-26.

TAMIAH BANTUM

Tamiah Bantum, a queer, mixed-race actor and director from Australia, now based in LA, is best known for her roles in "Marvel's Midnight Suns" as Storm, "The Out-Fit" as Jasmine, and Amazon Studios' "With Love" as Pixie. Specializing in film and motion capture, she has skills in stunts, creatures, and tactical weapons. As a director, her films Savage Dawn, Ex-Affliction, and Over My Dead Body have won multiple awards and festival selections. Tamiah's work focuses on amplifying marginalized voices through nuanced characters and compelling visual storytelling.

MARS WILLIAMSON

I’m a colorist and editor with over a decade of post-production experience, including seven years in Los Angeles working in advertising and freelancing across formats. I’ve graded content for ESPN, Showtime, HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and National Geographic, as well as music videos for artists like Peaches, Tegan & Sara, Bell’s Roar, and Buddy. I studied Communication and Cinema Studies at Northeastern University and have taught color theory and grading internationally.
